About the role#
The Procurement & Sourcing Intern will help modernize procurement operations by identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and improve efficiency. You will work on projects that use AI-driven tools to transition procurement from transactional tasks to scalable, system-based processes. This role involves analyzing business workflows, working with cross-functional teams, and using data to support sourcing and purchasing decisions.
What you'll do#
- Analyze current procurement and sourcing workflows to identify manual activities and process bottlenecks.
- Assist in designing and testing AI-enabled agents for procurement operations, supplier interactions, and internal requests.
- Evaluate procurement data to recommend workflow improvements that reduce administrative effort.
- Build dashboards, reports, and analytical models to measure sourcing performance and operational outcomes.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, supply chain, and technology teams to document requirements.
- Prepare presentations, project documentation, and recommendations for leadership regarding automation and process improvement.
What you'll need#
- Rising senior or current master's student graduating between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in Statistics, Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- Completion of at least two 300- or 400-level courses in statistics, business analytics, operations management, finance, economics, industrial engineering, or supply chain management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with large datasets and using Excel or similar analytical tools.
- Ability to communicate technical and business concepts clearly.
Location & details#
- Location: Boca Raton, Florida.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 17 to July 29, 2027).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Hybrid format with on-site work Monday through Thursday and remote work on Fridays.
- Compensation: $24 per hour for undergraduates and $28 per hour for graduate students.
