About the role#
This full-time internship offers hands-on experience in warehousing, distribution, inventory management, and transportation. You will rotate through chemical blending production and product development to understand the full lifecycle of goods from raw materials to finished products. You will work alongside experienced professionals on daily operations and special projects, culminating in a capstone project presented to division leadership.
What you'll do#
- Learn end-to-end warehouse operations including receiving, picking, staging, loading, and shipping.
- Assist with inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and resolving discrepancies with the Accounting and Purchasing teams.
- Analyze operational data to create reports on throughput, labor productivity, and on-time shipping for leadership.
- Map warehouse workflows to identify improvement opportunities and update standard operating procedures.
- Support slotting, space utilization, and layout reviews to improve capacity.
- Track carrier performance and assist with freight cost reviews and shipment planning.
- Participate in safety and 5S initiatives.
- Attend team meetings and weekly intern activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a college undergraduate program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Rising juniors, seniors, or graduate students are preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Intermediate Excel skills like pivot tables, sorting, and filtering are preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and communicate findings clearly.
- Interest in or exposure to ERP and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Coursework in logistics, procurement, or inventory management is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Location & details#
- The position is based on-site at SERVPRO Corporate Headquarters in Gallatin, Tennessee.
- The internship runs from May 24 through July 31, 2027.
- The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at 40 hours per week.
- Pay is $20.00 per hour.
- You must be able to lift, push, or move up to 50 lbs.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment in designated warehouse and production areas.
