About the role#
Adelbrook offers clinical internships for students pursuing degrees in Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration. This is a paid, full-time position based on-site in Cromwell, Connecticut. The internship follows a rolling schedule to meet the specific academic requirements of your college or university.
What you'll do#
- Shadow the Clinical Coordinator to learn about case management and clinical operations.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate clinical groups, as well as individual and family sessions.
- Attend internal meetings like treatment team reviews and psychiatric rounds.
- Participate in external meetings, including case reviews with guardians and funders.
- Complete documentation such as progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Collaborate with clinical, behavioral, and administrative staff to support client needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- Ability to complete the total hours required by your academic institution.
- Commitment to maintaining professionalism and following agency procedures.
- Willingness to complete all required orientations and training sessions.
- Ability to consult with your Field Instructor on coursework and process recordings.
- Availability for a weekly one-hour supervision meeting with your Field Instructor.
