About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will join our Merchandising department in Oak Brook, Illinois, to gain hands-on experience as an Associate Merchant. This 12-week program allows you to contribute to national programs for our retail stores while developing your financial and category management skills.
What you'll do#
- Manage a P&L and drive portfolio performance.
- Grow categories using forecasting, pricing, promotions, and shelving strategies.
- Develop and track key performance indicators.
- Perform competitive performance analysis and marketing strategy research.
- Synthesize data to create clear and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and drive overall strategy.
- Identify and validate business risks and opportunities.
- Present your plan recommendations to senior leadership.
- Contribute to product selection, procurement, and vendor relationships.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Expected graduation year of 2028.
- Previous internship or work experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to take initiative.
- Ability to identify tactical methods to achieve objectives and resolve plan deviations.
- Proven leadership and problem-solving skills.

- Location: Oak Brook, Illinois.
- Modality: This is an on-site, in-office position requiring 5 days a week in the office.
