About the role#
As a Systems Engineering Intern, you will gain practical experience by supporting various projects within our operations. You will work under the guidance of the Applications Engineering Manager to contribute to team goals while developing your own technical skills. This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with teams to ensure project coordination and timely completion.
- Use engineering software and computer programs to perform technical operations and data analysis.
- Conduct engineering analyses and prepare related documentation.
- Identify customer needs and match them with ABB solutions.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and research new solutions.
- Apply artificial intelligence tools to improve automation system performance and efficiency.
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
- Seek feedback from your manager and team members to improve your performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field in the United States.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop solutions.
- Ability to organize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to share information and provide project updates.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
Location & details#
- Location: Cleveland, Ohio.
- Work Modality: On-site or hybrid.
- Residency: Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the Cleveland office.
- Compensation: $20 to $34 per hour, depending on qualifications, graduation year, and experience.
- Note: No relocation assistance or stipend is provided. This internship does not include medical benefits, 401(k) contributions, or paid time off.
