Electrical/Controls Intern - Fall 2026

About the role#

This full-time internship offers hands-on experience supporting the startup and commissioning of a new manufacturing facility in Selmer, Tennessee. You will work on-site during the Fall 2026 term, assisting with the installation and validation of production machinery as the company prepares for a factory relocation.

What you'll do#

• Support the startup and commissioning of a new manufacturing facility.
• Assist with the installation, setup, and validation of new production machinery and electrical equipment.
• Review and interpret electrical documentation, including one-line diagrams, schematics, and equipment layouts.
• Collect and analyze operational and equipment data to support commissioning, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
• Develop and update work instructions, standard operating procedures, and other technical documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to share information and provide project updates.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Strong critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Capability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
