About the role#
We are looking for an Industrial Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Freeport, Illinois. You will work directly with the Engineering Manager to support manufacturing operations through hands-on project work and daily engineering tasks.
What you'll do#
- Map processes to optimize workflow.
- Identify and remove bottlenecks to improve overall efficiency.
- Redesign and optimize facility layouts.
- Review line balance for assembly lines.
- Conduct time studies and develop performance standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. We strongly prefer students who have completed their sophomore or junior year.
- A GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with others while remaining self-motivated to complete individual tasks.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $21.50 per hour.
