    About the role#

    The Environmental Health and Safety Intern will support the development, deployment, and improvement of programs that promote safety and environmental excellence. You will work alongside the EHS team and site leadership to ensure the company meets legislative and industry requirements. This position focuses on strengthening compliance and supporting a proactive safety culture at our facility.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the management of safety programs, including LOTO, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, and Fall Protection.
    • Ensure site operations meet OSHA and environmental standards.
    • Participate in incident investigations by gathering information and preparing documentation.
    • Create and deliver safety communications and training materials.
    • Maintain the Behavioral-Based Safety program by collecting and reporting observation data.
    • Assist with internal EHS audits to identify improvement opportunities.
    • Support compliance activities related to regulatory permits and EHS documentation.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program at an accredited college or university.
    • Major in occupational safety, environmental science, or a closely related field.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze data and draw sound conclusions.
    • Ability to work effectively on team-oriented projects.
    • Willingness to engage in all aspects of EHS programs.
