About the role#
The Embedded Hardware Internship provides practical exposure to circuit design, PCB layout, prototyping, and testing for embedded and IoT systems. You will work alongside experienced engineers on hardware development projects, gaining hands-on experience from the initial concept through final validation.
What you'll do#
- Create schematic designs and PCB layouts using Altium.
- Support prototype board bring-up and debugging activities.
- Validate circuits and perform hardware testing with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
- Work with firmware engineers to complete hardware and firmware integration testing.
- Document test results, design changes, and lessons learned.
- Assist with Bill of Materials management and part selection.
- Participate in design reviews and troubleshooting sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
- Familiarity with Altium or similar schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
- Knowledge of microcontrollers and electronic components.
- Experience using lab instruments like power supplies, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
- Familiarity with embedded communication protocols such as UART, SPI, and I2C.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn new technical concepts.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
