About the role#
This internship provides students the chance to support front-line business operations. You will join the Zurn Elkay Business Systems team to gain exposure to company culture and leadership. The role focuses on developing business and leadership skills while supporting the continuous improvement needs of a specific site.
What you'll do#
- Partner with leaders to assess current processes and find improvement opportunities.
- Manage the selection, scoping, prioritization, and execution of projects, including resource utilization reviews.
- Collaborate with leadership to create best practices for various functions.
- Develop and manage financial benefit and key performance indicator bowlers for major activities.
- Support on-site visual daily management and continuous improvement goals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program, preferably in engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Interest in mechanical tools, equipment, and processes.
- Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience is a plus.
- Lean experience is desired.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The position is based on-site in Freeport, Illinois.
