About the role#
The Continuous Improvement Intern will join the Zurn Elkay Business Systems team for the Summer 2027 term. This role provides an opportunity to participate in front-line business support functions while developing leadership and general business skills. You will work on-site to support the continuous improvement needs of a specific site or function.
What you'll do#
- Partner with leaders to assess current processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Manage the selection, scoping, prioritization, and execution of continuous improvement projects.
- Review resource utilization across projects.
- Collaborate with leadership to create best practices that align with business strategy.
- Develop and manage financial benefit and key performance indicator bowlers for major activities.
- Support on-site visual daily management and continuous improvement goals.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills and clear oral and written communication abilities.
- Interest in mechanical tools, equipment, and processes.
- Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience is a plus.
- Lean experience is desired.
