About the role#
Zurich Canada is looking for a student or recent graduate to join the Portfolio Management team for a Summer 2026 internship or co-op. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects while developing technical and analytical skills in a supportive environment. You will work within a cross-functional team and gain exposure to various business functions across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Create presentations and reports for management, underwriting teams, and other stakeholders to communicate portfolio performance and insights.
- Analyze and profile new business portfolios to support pricing and underwriting due diligence.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track key metrics such as retention, profitability, and rate adequacy.
- Provide analytical insights to support portfolio reviews for Programs, MGAs, and retail business.
- Prepare performance analyses for broker partners and executive stakeholders.
- Offer ad hoc analytical support, including data reconciliation and trend identification to guide decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a university degree program in a quantitative or business-related field, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Business Administration, or Computer Science.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across short- and medium-term project timelines.
