About the role#

The NC Civic Fellowship Program offers students the opportunity to contribute to nonpartisan civic engagement projects. Fellows work with teams of students to support voter education and mobilization efforts for the 2026 elections. This position is open to students attending colleges, universities, and community colleges in North Carolina.

What you'll do#

Educate North Carolinians about their voting rights.
Mobilize students to participate in the 2026 elections.
Collaborate with teams of students to ensure their voices are heard.
Conduct projects focused on civic engagement.

What you'll need#

Enrollment as a student at a college, university, or community college in North Carolina.
A commitment of up to 10 hours per week.
Interest in civic action, nonpartisan project work, and student mobilization.
Availability to align with the fall 2026 academic schedule.
Relevant academic background in fields such as Political Science, Public Health, Business Administration, Communications, or Sociology.

Location & details#

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, with work occurring both virtually and on campus.
Modality: Hybrid.
Term: Fall 2026 (August 10, 2026, to November 20, 2026).
Compensation: $18.00 per hour.
