About the role#

The North Carolina Civic Fellowship Program offers students the opportunity to participate in nonpartisan projects during the Fall 2026 semester. Fellows work with teams of students across the state to help ensure that their peers can cast a ballot and make their voices heard in the 2026 elections.

What you'll do#

Assist with nonpartisan projects focused on civic engagement.
Educate and mobilize students to participate in the electoral process.
Support efforts to ensure students can successfully cast a ballot.
Participate in the planning and organizing of campus events.

What you'll need#

Current enrollment at a college, university, or community college in North Carolina.
A commitment of up to 10 hours per week for the duration of the semester.
Experience with civic action or engagement.
Ability to work effectively with teams of students.
Majors in Political Science, Public Health, Sociology, or Communications are preferred.

Location & details#

Location: Durham, North Carolina.
Work Modality: On-site.
Term: Fall 2026 (August 10, 2026, to November 20, 2026).
Compensation: $18.00 per hour.
