Think Big Intern - Heavy Equipment

About the role#

The Think Big Intern program is a two-year specialized associate degree curriculum. Students alternate every eight weeks between classroom instruction at South Georgia Technical College and paid, on-site internships at a Yancey Bros. Co. branch. This program provides practical experience with diesel, electronics, and hydraulics. Upon graduation, students earn an Associate Degree in Applied Technology and gain two years of professional experience, with the potential to transition into full-time roles in shop service, field service, or product support.

What you'll do#

• Maintain a 'B' average in all college coursework.
• Meet expectations for conduct, appearance, and work ethic as documented on your transcript.
• Participate in all required safety programs and consistently work in a safe manner.
• Apply classroom learning to real-world mechanical tasks.

What you'll need#

• High School Diploma.
• Ability to meet admission requirements for South Georgia Technical College.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to work with mechanical concepts.
• Interest in challenging, hands-on work.
• Demonstrated good work habits, evidenced by acceptable grades and attendance in high school.
