About the role#
The Think Big Intern program is a two-year specialized curriculum focused on Power Systems, including Diesel, Electronics, and Power Generation. This program alternates every eight weeks between classroom instruction at South Georgia Technical College and paid, hands-on internships at Yancey Bros. Co. Upon completion, students earn an Associate Degree in Applied Technology and gain two years of professional experience, with the potential to transition into full-time roles such as shop technician, field service, or product support.
What you'll do#
- Maintain a 'B' average in all assigned college coursework.
- Maintain a 'Meets Expectations' score in conduct, appearance, and work ethic on your transcript.
- Participate in all required safety programs and consistently work in a safe manner.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma.
- Ability to meet admission requirements for South Georgia Technical College.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and a desire to work with mechanical concepts.
- Interest in hands-on, challenging work.
- Proven work habits, evidenced by acceptable grades and attendance during high school.
