Think Big Intern - Heavy Equipment

About the role#

The Think Big Intern program is a two-year specialized associate degree program consisting of alternating eight-week rotations between South Georgia Technical College and a Yancey Bros. Co. branch. This is a paid, full-time internship designed to provide hands-on experience with diesel, electronics, and hydraulics. Upon graduation, students earn an Associate Degree in Applied Technology and gain two years of professional experience, with the potential to transition into a full-time role within the company.

What you'll do#

• Participate in required safety programs and maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain a 'B' average in all assigned college coursework.
• Uphold 'Meets Expectations' standards in conduct, appearance, and work ethic as documented on transcripts.
• Apply classroom learning to real-world mechanical tasks at Yancey Bros. Co. facilities.

What you'll need#

• High School Diploma.
• Ability to meet all admission requirements for South Georgia Technical College.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to work with mechanical concepts.
• Interest in hands-on, challenging work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated good work habits and a willingness to learn.
