About the role#
WSP is looking for a full-time Water Resources Engineering Intern to join our Southeast Water Team in Atlanta for the summer of 2027. This 12-week program allows you to work alongside senior staff on real projects to build your technical and professional skills. Please note that this position does not provide relocation or housing assistance.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design analysis.
- Support the preparation of design plans, cost estimates, and special provisions.
- Learn core principles of Water Resources Engineering through hands-on tasks and training.
- Help collect and maintain project documentation.
- Exercise ethical decision-making and follow company policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Civil or Environmental Engineering undergraduate program with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and CAD software like AutoCAD or OpenRoads.
- Basic knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering principles.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to take direction from mentors and managers.
- A history of campus leadership or previous internships.
- A commitment to workplace safety and professional conduct.
