About the role#
WSP is hiring a full-time Water Resources Engineering Intern for our Dallas office. This is a 12-week summer position starting in May 2027. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects to build your technical and professional skills. Please note that this role does not provide relocation or housing assistance.
What you'll do#
- Learn the basic principles of Water Resources Engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
- Support the preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete assigned training tasks.
- Exercise ethical decision-making regarding company resources and follow all company policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- An anticipated graduation date of August 2007 or later.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- A demonstrated interest in Water Resources and a desire to advance your technical skills.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to take direction from mentors and managers.
- A track record of upholding workplace safety and company conduct policies.
- Prior internship or campus leadership experience is preferred.
