About the role#
WSP is seeking a full-time Water Resources Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 program. This role provides hands-on experience working alongside senior staff on real projects. You will participate in a 12-week program that begins on May 17, 2027. Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance provided for this position.
What you'll do#
- Support various engineering tasks to build technical and ethical skills.
- Learn foundational principles of Water Resources Engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Help prepare final design plans, cost estimates, and special provisions.
- Maintain project documentation and complete assigned training modules.
- Adhere to company policies, including the Code of Conduct and safety protocols.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Undergraduate program for Civil or Environmental Engineering, with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow direction from managers and mentors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical writing.
- Experience with CAD software like AutoCAD or OpenRoads is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering principles.
- Prior leadership involvement or internship experience.

- This is an on-site position located in Miami, FL or Sunrise, FL.
- The internship is a full-time, paid role.
