About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in transportation engineering. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects in the Albuquerque office. The position is part-time and scheduled for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Support various engineering tasks to build technical and professional skills.
- Learn the core principles of transportation engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Help prepare final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete assigned training and follow company policies regarding conduct and resources.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate, masters, or PhD program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to follow direction from mentors and managers.
- A commitment to workplace safety and professional ethics.
- Experience with AutoCad Civil3D is preferred.
- Prior internship or campus leadership experience is a plus.
