About the role#
WSP is seeking a full-time Structural Engineering intern for our Transportation team in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. This is a summer 2027 position. You will work alongside senior staff and gain hands-on experience with real projects. The internship is part of a 12-week program.
What you'll do#
- Support a variety of engineering tasks to build your technical and ethical skills.
- Learn basic principles of structural engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Help prepare final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete training on assigned tasks.
- Adhere to company policies and the code of conduct regarding resources and ethical decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program for civil or structural engineering with a graduation date of August 2028 or later.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Proven track record of workplace safety.
- Ability to follow health, safety, and harassment policies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Prior internship or campus leadership experience is a plus.

- Location: Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $25.66 to $31.37 per hour.
