About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship within the Transportation Team. You will gain hands-on experience by working alongside senior staff on real projects. The program runs for 12 weeks, starting May 17, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support various engineering tasks to build technical and ethical skills.
- Learn the basic principles of structural engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Help prepare final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Maintain project documentation and complete required training.
- Exercise responsible decision-making regarding company resources.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program for Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Interest in structural engineering and a desire to advance your skills.
- Ability to follow direction from managers and mentors.
- Proficiency in technical writing and office software.
- A track record of upholding workplace safety.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Prior campus leadership or internship experience is a plus.

- This role is based on-site in Worcester, Massachusetts.
