About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. You will work alongside senior staff to gain experience in power distribution engineering. The role involves supporting the design of medium-voltage electric distribution systems, including both overhead and underground infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Support the design and development of medium-voltage electric distribution systems.
- Contribute to the preparation of construction-ready drawings.
- Perform system layouts and material estimates.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
- Support the preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited Electrical Engineering or related undergraduate program.
- Anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
