About the role#
WSP is seeking a full-time MEP Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This 12-week internship offers hands-on experience working alongside senior staff on property and building projects. Interns participate in the company's Developing Professionals Network to build mentorship and professional connections.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering tasks to build technical and ethical skills.
- Learn basic principles of Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering with an assigned mentor.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Prepare design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete assigned training and exercise ethical decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or Architectural Engineering undergraduate program.
- Graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Interest in MEP engineering and a desire to advance your skills.
- Proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to follow direction from managers and mentors.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is preferred.
- Prior internship or campus leadership experience is preferred.
- Commitment to workplace safety and company conduct policies.
