About the role#
This is a 12-week full-time internship starting May 17, 2027. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects to build your technical and professional skills. This role supports our Earth and Environment team.
What you'll do#
- Assist with field data collection, data analysis, and project execution.
- Help collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete training on assigned tasks.
- Support various environmental science assignments to build technical and ethical skills.
- Follow company policies and the Code of Conduct.
- Perform additional duties as business needs arise.
- Travel occasionally based on specific project requirements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate, master's, or PhD program in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Natural Resources, or a related field.
- Graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Basic proficiency with office software, spreadsheets, and technical writing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow direction from managers and mentors.
- A track record of workplace safety and adherence to health and safety policies.
- Experience with Microsoft and Adobe tools is preferred.
- Prior leadership or internship experience on campus is a plus.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Irvine, California or Santa Barbara, California.
- This is a paid internship. No relocation or housing assistance is provided.
