About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Electrical Engineering internship based in Ft Worth, Texas. The position is part of a 12-week summer program that begins on May 17, 2027. You will work on-site with senior staff to gain experience with power and energy projects.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering tasks to build technical and professional skills.
- Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Help prepare final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete assigned training tasks.
- Follow WSP policies, including the Code of Conduct, and make ethical decisions regarding company resources.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Electrical Engineering or related undergraduate program.
- An anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Interest in Electrical Engineering and a desire to advance your skills.
- Ability to take direction from managers and mentors.
- Proficiency in technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- A record of upholding workplace safety and following health and harassment policies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with technical skills or programs is preferred.
- Prior internship or campus leadership experience is a plus.
