About the role#
WSP is hiring a full-time Electrical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 program in Arlington, Virginia. This 12-week internship offers exposure to real projects while working alongside senior staff. You will gain hands-on experience to build your technical, social, and ethical skills.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering tasks and learn core principles of Electrical Engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Help prepare final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete assigned training modules.
- Follow company policies, including the Code of Conduct and safety guidelines.
- Exercise responsible decision-making regarding company resources.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited Electrical Engineering or related undergraduate program.
- An anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- A strong interest in Electrical Engineering and a desire to advance your skills.
- Competent communication skills for both engineering and non-engineering audiences.
- Ability to take direction from managers and mentors.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- A track record of upholding workplace safety.
- Prior internship or campus leadership experience is preferred.

- Location: Arlington, Virginia.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2027 (starting May 17, 2027).
- Compensation: $23.90 - $32.22 per hour.
