About the role#
WSP is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, on-site position is based in our Madison, Wisconsin office. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects to build your technical and professional skills. The program is 12 weeks long and scheduled to begin on May 17, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Support the preparation of final design plans, cost estimates, and special provisions.
- Help collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete assigned training tasks.
- Learn core principles of electrical engineering.
- Adhere to company policies regarding conduct, ethics, and resource management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program for Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a graduation date of May 2028 or later.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- You must be 18 years or older.
- Experience with REVIT and AutoCAD.
- Prior leadership experience on campus or previous internship experience.
- Basic proficiency in technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to follow direction from managers and mentors.
- A track record of prioritizing workplace safety.
