About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site to gain hands-on experience by supporting our Power and Energy team. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects and participate in our professional development program.
What you'll do#
- Apply structural engineering principles to design foundations and structures for substation equipment.
- Conduct project research, perform design calculations, and assist with field work.
- Help prepare final design plans, cost estimates, and special provisions.
- Maintain project documentation and complete required training tasks.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited Civil Engineering or related undergraduate program.
- Successful completion of junior-level coursework in structural analysis, steel design, or concrete design.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, spreadsheets, and office software.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Billings, Montana; Overland Park, Kansas; or Lakewood, Colorado.
- This is a 12-week program scheduled to begin in May 2027.
- No relocation or housing assistance is provided for this role.
