About the role#
WSP is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Dallas, Texas. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects to build your technical and professional skills. This role is part of a 12-week program.
What you'll do#
- Support a variety of engineering tasks.
- Learn basic principles of Transportation Engineering.
- Assist in the preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Help collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete assigned training modules.
- Adhere to the company code of conduct and exercise responsible decision-making regarding resources.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited Undergraduate program for Civil Engineering or a related field.
- An anticipated graduation date of May 2027 or later.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- Demonstrated interest in Transportation.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to take direction from mentors and managers.
- A proven track record of workplace safety and adherence to health and safety policies.
