About the role#
WSP is seeking a full-time Architectural Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position is part of our summer internship program and offers exposure to real projects while working alongside senior staff. You will work on-site in either Washington, DC or Baltimore, MD. This is a paid position.
What you'll do#
- Support various architectural tasks to build your technical and professional skills.
- Learn the basic principles of transportation architecture.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design analysis.
- Help prepare final design plans, cost estimates, and special provisions.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete assigned training and exercise responsible decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an NCARB accredited 5-year undergraduate, master's, or PhD architecture program.
- Ability to work in the United States and be at least 18 years old.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 8, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated interest in transportation architecture.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow direction from leadership and mentors.
- Experience with 3-D computer design software and prior campus leadership or internship experience.
- Commitment to workplace safety and company conduct policies.

- Compensation: $19 to $30 per hour.
