About the role#
Worthington Enterprises is hiring a Corporate Communications intern for the summer of 2027. This full-time role focuses on upholding and enhancing the company brand through internal and external communications. You will spend 80 percent of your time on a business-driven project, which you will present to senior leadership at the end of the program. The remaining time involves on-the-job experience and classroom learning covering topics like business etiquette, interviewing, and presenting.
What you'll do#
- Complete a project focused on brand enhancement.
- Develop content for digital platforms.
- Monitor media coverage and social media presence.
- Support the Communications team with daily tasks.
- Participate in a community service component.
What you'll need#
- Current sophomore or junior status working toward a bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
- Excellent research and writing skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Canva.
- Design skills and an open mind toward using artificial intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments at once.
- Comfort engaging with internal and external audiences.
Location & details#
- This role is based at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.
- The work modality is hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
- This is a paid, full-time internship for the summer of 2027.
