About the role#
We are hiring Seasonal Overnight Student Chaperones to monitor student groups in the Washington D.C. Metro Area. You will work night shifts from 9:45 PM to 5:00 AM to help ensure a safe and positive experience for students and educators. This role is paid and requires on-site work during the fall and spring seasons.
What you'll do#
- Monitor assigned hotel floors for student misconduct and emergency situations.
- Maintain a professional relationship with students and staff.
- Follow check-in and check-out procedures with hotel personnel.
- Present a professional, courteous, and positive image at all times.
- Report any suspicious activity while on duty.
What you'll need#
- Availability during October and November, as well as February through June.
- Ability to commute to locations within the D.C. Metro Area.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and smartphone usage.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking up and down stairs.
- Must possess the necessary sensory skills to see, read, talk, and hear.
- Successful completion of a background screening.
- Preference for students in Psychology, Human Resources, Communications, or Criminal Justice.
