About the role#
Night Chaperones monitor student behavior and safety during overnight hours. You will work from 9:45 PM to 5:00 AM, ensuring a secure environment for students and educators on assigned hotel floors. This role requires close coordination with the Night Chaperone Coordinator and the Onsite Coordinator to maintain order and respond to any emergencies or suspicious activity.
What you'll do#
- Monitor assigned hotel floors throughout your shift.
- Ensure the safety of all participants while they are on tour.
- Follow check-in and check-out procedures with hotel staff and program leaders.
- Maintain professional relationships with students at all times.
- Present a positive, courteous, and helpful image to everyone you encounter.
What you'll need#
- Availability during October and November, and from February through June.
- Ability to commute to on-site locations in the Rockville, Maryland area.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with experience using email and smartphones.
- Physical ability to walk up and down multiple flights of stairs.
- Successful completion of a background screening.
- Current authorization to work in the United States, as sponsorship is not available for this role.
