About the role#
WoodmenLife is seeking a Data Analytics Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This program provides hands-on experience in the insurance industry, focusing on the planning, execution, and evaluation of real-world projects. You will work within an Agile team to deliver insights that support business goals and improve operational efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Extract, transform, and interpret complex datasets to inform strategic decisions.
- Learn about enterprise data warehouse and BI system architecture.
- Participate in analytics, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
- Meet weekly with the Internship Cohort, Executive Leadership, and division leaders.
- Summarize and present a capstone presentation on your project accomplishments and skill development.
- Operate within a collaborative, Agile-driven team environment.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, MIS, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Status as a rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
- Ability to work 38.75 hours per week.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing trustworthy, attentive, and resourceful service.
- A growth mindset, a focus on innovation, and the ability to build collaborative relationships.
