About the role#
Wohlsen Construction Company is hiring a Construction Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position provides administrative and coordination support to the project team while offering practical experience in commercial construction management. You will work on-site and travel to assigned jobsites as needed.
What you'll do#
- Collect, review, process, and distribute submittals and requests for information (RFIs).
- Prepare and distribute project documentation, meeting minutes, correspondence, and project communications.
- Assist with bid package coordination, quote coverage, project billings, and draws.
- Maintain accurate project files and logs, including permits, change orders, and closeout documentation.
- Support Project Managers with schedule updates, cost tracking, and day-to-day project management tasks.
- Participate in site walks, safety inspections, quality observations, and team meetings.
- Coordinate with trade partners, design partners, and internal team members.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong written communication, organization, proofreading, and follow-through skills.
- A valid driver license and the ability to travel to assigned jobsites.
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or scheduling software is a plus.
