About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Audit Internship for Summer 2028 based in Madison, Wisconsin. You will work on-site, collaborating with professionals across the firm to gain hands-on experience in audit procedures and client service. This role requires you to work from the office or client sites as needed.
What you'll do#
- Perform audit, review, and compliance testing procedures.
- Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and management reports.
- Gather information from clients to complete required documentation.
- Respond to requests from clients and team members in a professional and timely manner.
- Use data analysis to identify patterns and support recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes for better efficiency.
- Communicate with engagement leaders regarding testing problems or open items.
- Develop technical competency with GAAP.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- Completion of a corporate or individual taxation class.
- Working toward eligibility to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation.
- A strong academic record, with a 3.0 GPA or higher preferred.
- Ability to work independently, make good decisions, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
- Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data.
