About the role#
We are hiring a Transmission Planning Intern for the summer of 2027. You will join our System Planning department in Austin to work on long-term transmission studies. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship that offers hands-on experience with our transmission infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Participate in long-term transmission planning studies.
- Help improve system reliability and efficiency.
- Assist with data analysis and modeling.
- Evaluate system upgrades to support our expansion goals.
- Work alongside industry experts to learn about operations and maintenance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program for Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
- Preference for students at the junior or senior level.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of the regulated utility industry, transmission systems, or power engineering concepts is a plus.
