About the role#
We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site in Austin to gain hands-on experience with transmission infrastructure operations, maintenance, and planning. This is a full-time, paid position where you will work alongside industry experts to support the delivery of reliable power.
What you'll do#
- Support electrical design and analysis for transmission systems.
- Assist with system modeling and testing efforts.
- Participate in design reviews.
- Contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of power.
- Gain practical knowledge of utility transmission operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field (juniors or seniors preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work well in a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A willingness to learn and adapt.
- Knowledge of the regulated utility industry, power engineering concepts, or transmission systems is a plus.
