About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to the IT Security program at WinCo Foods. You will develop skills across several areas, including Governance, Risk and Compliance, Identity and Access Management, and Security Operations. The program covers foundational training in security concepts, incident response, and threat detection.
What you'll do#
- Investigate security alerts.
- Administer various security tools.
- Test, document, and implement security controls and solutions.
- Participate in projects for the IT Security team and broader business initiatives.
- Perform the daily duties expected of an IT Security practitioner.
What you'll need#
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are currently enrolled in an accredited university within a Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related IT program.
- You have a basic understanding of IT and security concepts.
- You are proficient in using personal computers.
- You are legally eligible to work in the United States.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Boise, Idaho.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The term is rolling.
- We do not offer visa sponsorship for this role.
