About the role#
As a Quality Intern at Wieland, you will work within the quality department to identify, plan, and verify activities that support our operations. You will gain hands-on experience while contributing to the success of the department.
What you'll do#
- Lead continuous improvement efforts by analyzing data to find opportunities in operations, safety, and quality.
- Collaborate directly with engineering, manufacturing, quality, safety, and metallurgical teams.
- Support the ongoing improvement of plant operations.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a sophomore or higher in a Materials Science or Metallurgical Engineering degree program.
- A basic understanding of laboratory operations, including chemical, mechanical, and metallurgical testing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- A basic understanding of statistics.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A background in chemical or metallurgical process control, mechanical and electrical systems, and data acquisition is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Montpelier, Ohio.
- Modality: This is a full-time, on-site role.
- Pay: $20 to $22 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm.
