About the role#
Wayside Youth & Family Support Network is looking for clinical interns to join the Waltham Community Based Services team. This role focuses on providing in-home and community-based support to help protect, preserve, and reunify families. You will work with a clinical team while managing your own tasks in the field. This position is paid and open for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Provide individual, couples, and family therapy.
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop treatment goals.
- Handle case management, advocacy, and therapeutic interventions.
- Provide concrete services including transportation and service referrals.
- Conduct home visits and carry outpatient cases.
- Co-facilitate activity-based groups for youth.
- Participate in agency-wide initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a graduate program, with final-year students preferred.
- Clinical or academic exposure to family work.
- Ability to work as a confident self-starter.
- A valid driver’s license and a reliable car.
- Permission from your school to transport clients.
- Availability for at least three days per week, including Tuesdays and two evenings.

- The position is based in Waltham, Massachusetts.
- This is an on-site, part-time internship.
- Stipends are available for final-year graduate students.
