About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on learning-based behavior policies for special vehicles. This position is based in Mountain View, California, and follows a hybrid work model.
What you'll do#
- Prototype learning-based behavior policies.
- Integrate multi-modal perception semantics into the system.
- Build simulation benchmarks and counterfactual suites.
- Inspect 3D driving trajectories to refine performance.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or Machine Learning.
- Experience in reinforcement learning, imitation learning, or trajectory forecasting.
- Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
- Software development skills in C++ or Python.
- Preferred: Top publications in venues like CoRL, RSS, or ICRA.
- Preferred: Experience with Transformer trajectory generation and autonomous simulation frameworks.
