Intern Training and Development

About the role#

Watchfire is seeking a Training and Development Intern to support our management and training staff. This role focuses on the administrative and operational aspects of our internal training programs. You will assist in maintaining records, coordinating schedules, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our training initiatives.

What you'll do#

• Aid the Training Facilitator in preparing employees for job-related training sessions.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of employee training, certifications, and attendance.
• Provide general administrative support, including answering inquiries, managing correspondence, and handling clerical tasks.
• Assist with scheduling training sessions and notifying relevant stakeholders.
• Research potential training events under the direction of management.
• Offer input for the continuous improvement of the training program and maintain technical knowledge of record-keeping systems.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing an AA, AAS, or AS degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Training and Development, Safety, or a related field.
• Must be enrolled full-time for the current semester; new graduates are eligible.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend complex instructions.
• Proficiency in selecting appropriate instructional methods and teaching others.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and group settings.
• Proven active listening skills, including the ability to understand points being made and ask relevant questions.
• Experience with LMS systems or SharePoint is considered a plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
