Intern Electrical Engineering

About the role#

This internship provides hands-on experience assisting Electrical Engineers with hardware design, prototyping, board-level repair, and embedded software development. Interns will gain exposure to manufacturing protocols and vendor research while contributing to real-world engineering projects.

What you'll do#

• Learn and operate specialized test equipment.
• Conduct testing on LED modules, controllers, and complete LED sign systems.
• Utilize oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other hardware testing tools.
• Research new or alternate components for hardware designs.
• Develop embedded software and assist in building prototypes.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Technology, EET, MET, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of the semester.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Location: Danville, Illinois.
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Schedule: Full-time, up to 40 hours per week.
• Modality: On-site.
