About the role#
The Infrastructure Intern will support the IT team at Watchfire, assisting with network maintenance, hardware configuration, and infrastructure projects. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Danville, Illinois.
What you'll do#
- Assist with network support, maintenance, and development projects.
- Provide phone and deskside support for network equipment.
- Configure and set up new PCs and laptops, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Contribute to office expansion and consolidation projects.
- Evaluate existing training documentation and develop new materials as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or recent graduation in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technology fields.
- Must have been enrolled full-time for the current semester.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of the semester.
- Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer session.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
