About the role#
As an Engineering Intern in the Water Resources group, you will contribute to project teams working on public water and drainage-related initiatives. This role is designed to expand your education in civil and water resources engineering through hands-on project experience and participation in our in-house staff development program.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate on commercial development assessments and designs.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
- Contribute to FEMA studies and roadway drainage designs.
- Assist with the development of flood warning systems and public infrastructure projects.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing or holding a BS in Civil Engineering.
- Understanding of basic hydrologic and hydraulic principles.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for the challenges of water resources engineering.
- Availability for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Preferred: Experience with HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, SWMM5, or ArcGIS.
