About the role#
Wade Trim is hiring an Engineering Summer Intern for the Industrial Commercial Energy group in Fort Worth. This is a paid, full-time position for Summer 2027. You will work on-site and collaborate with various departments, including Planning, Structural Design, and Hydraulic and Hydrology.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine calculations under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Analyze continuous flow and rainfall data.
- Assist engineers in developing spreadsheet tools.
- Obtain project drawings from local municipalities.
- Handle document tasks such as copying and scanning project drawings.
- Work alongside project managers and engineering staff.
- Communicate with staff and clients while maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Ensure a safe working environment at all times.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering, preferably with sophomore or junior status.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills and a self-motivated approach to work.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is preferred.
