About the role#
Wade Trim is hiring an Engineer Summer Intern for the Industrial Commercial Energy group in our Detroit office. This is a paid, full-time position for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site and collaborate with various departments, including Planning, Design, and Hydraulic and Hydrology.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine calculations under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Analyze continuous flow and rainfall data.
- Obtain project drawings from local municipalities.
- Assist engineers with the development of spreadsheet tools.
- Copy and scan project-related drawings.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering staff.
- Communicate with clients while maintaining excellent relations.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, with junior or senior status preferred.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills and a self-motivated approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is a plus.
